The IDI was the host of this year’s National Institute of Antimicrobial Resistance Research and Education (NIAMRRE) Annual Conference. The conference took place on May 14-16, 2024, at the Blackwell Inn and featured world-renowned antimicrobial resistance scientists and government agency officials. The College of Veterinary Medicine and the IDI were internal sponsors of the conference.
IDI Hosts 2024 NIAMRRE Annual Conference
Following the meeting, a small focus-group meeting led by Dr. Alejandro Dorado Garcia, 2024 NIAMRRE speaker, animal health officer/AMR surveillance coordinator, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, was held to discuss the International FAO Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring (InFARM) IT platform. Data generated via InFARM will be shared through the global Tripartite Integrated System for Surveillance of AMR and AMU (TISSA).
