We focus on expanding interdisciplinary research capabilities, fostering innovative partnerships, and achieving sustainable organizational growth to advance infectious disease solutions. This roadmap serves as our guide to fulfill our mission through targeted initiatives and measurable outcomes. The IDI goals and tactics are aligned with four pillars as outlined below.

Mission

The Infectious Diseases Institute will harness the beneficial effects of microbes and develop innovative solutions to the detrimental effects of microbes on the health of humans, animals, plants and the environment for the benefit of society.

Research and Creative Expression

IDI will create internationally recognized contributions to the advancement, dissemination and application of knowledge relevant to the understanding, prevention, treatment and control of infectious diseases through interdisciplinary research.
