Justin North, PhD, assistant professor, Department of Microbiology, College of Arts and Sciences, has been appointed as the faculty director of the IDI Bacillus Genetic Stock Center (BGSC). Dr. North will bring his scientific expertise to the BGSC to provide high-level technical oversight and will drive on-going strategy development focused on increasing the domestic and global customer base. In addition, he will work with the IDI team to explore possible expansion into other key growth areas such as culturomics.
