Congratulations to the IDI’s Spring 2024 Trainee Transformative Research Grant Awardees!

Congratulations to Bella Lee, graduate research associate, Department of Microbial Infection and Immunity, College of Medicine; and Jordan Parrish, graduate research associate, Department of Microbial Infection and Immunity, College of Medicine. Each received an IDI Spring 2024 Trainee Transformative Research Grant award for their projects as follows:
 
Bella Lee, applicant (PI: Dr. Jerry Lio) & Sabrina Lamont, co-applicant (PI: Dr. Daniel Wozniak) will collaborate on “Role of vitamin C in host protection against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.”
 
Jordan Parrish, applicant (PI: Dr. Namal Liyanage) & Guillaume Fiches, co-applicant (PI: Dr. Jian Zhu) will collaborate on “Investigating the impact of EBV reactivation during HIV-EBV coinfection on NK cell immune responses.” 

As a reminder, the IDI Trainee Transformative Research Grant program is intended to foster new collaborative efforts and to increase a project's impact, ability to publish, and/or how the research might lead to novel discoveries. There are two RFA cycles, one in the fall and one in the spring.
