IDI 8th Annual Meeting Abstract and Poster Guidelines

Review the requirements below before preparing and submitting your abstract. This page includes abstract submission requirements and poster presentation guidelines.

Abstract Submission Deadline: Friday, October 16, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Accepted abstracts will be invited to participate in the poster session, which can accommodate up to 60 posters.

Awards will be presented for the top three posters based on trainee classification. In addition, the top abstract will be selected for an oral presentation during the IDI 8th Annual Meeting.

Instructions

  • Follow the requirements in the Abstract Requirements section below.
  • The abstract must be 300 words or less.
    • The 300-word limit does not include the title, authors, departmental affiliations, or keywords.
  • Use Arial, 11-point font throughout the document.
  • Save or export the completed document as a PDF before submission.
    • File Naming Convention: Save your PDF as LastName_FirstInitial_IDI2026_Abstract.pdf (example: Buckeye_B_IDI2026_Abstract.pdf).
    • Upload your PDF document as part of the submission process via the Abstract Submission Form at the link below.

Abstract Requirements

  1. Abstract Title
    1. Bold the title in the final version.
  2. Authors
    1. Use initials and last names only. 
    2. Underline only the presenting author’s name.
  3. Departmental Affiliation(s)
    1. Authors’ department or departments.
  4. Abstract
    1. Maximum 300 words.
  5. Keywords
    1. 3 to 5 keywords, separated by commas.

Poster Guidelines:

  • Size Dimensions: 4 ft x 4 ft (Note: not to exceed maximum dimensions of 4 ft x 4 ft)
  • Format/Color Scheme: At your discretion
  • Poster Setup: November 9, 2026, beginning at 7:00 a.m.
  • Clips/Pushpins: Will be provided on site
  • Poster Breakdown: November 9, 2026, no later than 5:15 p.m.
