The IDI is delighted to introduce three new team members!
Amanda Brown will serve as an IDI-GEMS laboratory research and operations specialist focusing primarily on genomic sequencing. Amanda has been a student employee in the lab since 2023 and graduated from Ohio State fall semester 2025 with a BS in Microbiology.
Elizabeth Nitz will serve as an IDI-GEMS laboratory technician (contracted) focusing primarily on tick-borne pathogen testing (Buckeye Tick Test). Elizabeth previously worked as a student lab assistant in the Sullivan lab and graduated from Ohio State fall semester 2025 with a BS in Microbiology.
Sam Schadek will serve as the IDI marketing/communications and event specialist (part-time). This is a joint position with the Human Performance Collaborative (HPC), a close partner of the IDI. Sam is a recent graduate of the University of Dayton (BA, Communication/Media Production; minor, Marketing). Sam also earned a graduate certificate in digital and multimedia communication and held various communications and marketing internships.
