Congratulations to the FY24 IDI Host Defense & Microbial Biology (HDMB) Thematic Program awardees as follows:

Dr. John Gunn, professor, Center of Microbial Pathogenesis, Nationwide Children's Hospital (NCH), received an HDMB Grant Application Support Award for his project entitled, “Pathogenic mechanisms of systemic non-typhoidal Salmonella infection."
 
Gabriella Matheny, graduate research associate, Department of Microbiology, College of Arts and Sciences, received an HDMB New Techniques grant for her project entitled, “Aerosol-based infection technique for modeling respiratory histoplasmosis."

Andrew Miles, graduate research associate, Department of Plant Pathology, College of Food Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES), received an HDMB New Techniques grant for his project entitled, “Refining Tissue Dissection Techniques and Phenotyping for Nematode Research in Beech Trees."
