The Infectious Diseases Institute Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Thematic Program coordinated AMR awareness activities across campus to raise awareness of the threat of antimicrobial resistance as part of U.S. Antibiotic Awareness Week (USAAW), November 18-24, 2024. Antibiotic resistance kills an estimated 1.3 million people worldwide every year, and the number of deaths is projected to be as high as 10 million people by 2050.
