- Biofilms in Human Medicine Interest Group
The goal of the Biofilms in Human Medicine Interest Group is to define the critical factors that facilitate bacterial biofilm development in human disease and then use this knowledge to develop therapies to prevent initial infection or progression to persistent biofilms.
- Campus Chemical Instrument Center
The Campus Chemical Instrument Center provides state-of-the-art research facilities for the entire campus in three areas: nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectrometry and proteomics.
- Campus Microscopy and Imaging Facility
The CMIF offers several instruments dedicated to miscroscopic study. The staff has considerable expertise in the preparation of samples for electron miscroscopy.
- Center for Applied Plant Sciences (CAPS)
CAPS focuses on bridging the gap between basic and applied research. CAPS is working with the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center and the Ohio BioProducts Innovation Center, along with the Office for Energy and the Environment to provide researchers with tools for commercialization of discoveries and, ultimately, economic development opportunities.
- Center for Clinical and Translational Science
The Center for Clinical and Translational Science is a collaboration among the University, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital and provides financial, organizational, and educational support to biomedical researchers, as well as opportunities for community members to participate in credible and valuable research. The CCTS offers open office hours for i2b2 and Research Data consultations on Wednesdays from 1:00-3:00pm in 260 Prior Hall.
- Center for Electron Microscopy and Analysis (CEMAS)
The CEMAS is home to one of the largest concentrations of electron and ion beam analytical microscopy instruments in North America. CEMAS brings together multidisciplinary expertise to drive synergy, amplify characterization capabilities and challenge what is possible in electron microscopy.
