Congratulations to Enrico Bonello, PhD, Professor, Plant Pathology, College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, Adriana Forero, PhD, Assistant Professor, Microbial Infection & Immunity, College of Medicine, and Mark Mitton-Fry, PhD, Assistant Professor, Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy, College of Pharmacy. Each are recipients of IDI Interdisciplinary Research Seed Grants in the amount of $25,000 for their projects as follows:

Dr. Enrico Bonello, PI: Dissecting signaling in systemic induced resistance of Austrian pine to fungal pathogens. Interdisciplinary team collaborator (Co-PI): David Mackey, PhD, Professor, Department of Horticulture and Crop Science, Department of Plant Pathology, College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.

Dr. Adriana Forero, PI: Murine model for the immunepathogenic role of type III IFNs (IFNλ) in Cutaneous Leishmaniasis. Interdisciplinary team collaborator (Co-PI): Fernanda Novais, PhD, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbial Infection & Immunity, College of Medicine.

Dr. Mark Mitton-Fry, PI: Novel Bacterial Topoisomerase Inhibitors for Multidrug-Resistant Gonorrhea Infection.
