September 23, 2019

About 175 members of the infectious disease research community at Ohio State and Nationwide Children’s Hospital gathered at the Fawcett Center on Thursday, September 12, 2019, for the Infectious Diseases Institute’s (IDI) 2nd Annual Meeting. Each of IDI’s 6 Thematic Program Areas showcased research and programmatic successes from the past year during the plenary session. This year’s event featured 40 of our outstanding undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and research scientists in the inaugural Trainee Poster Session, and five NIH T32 Training Grant Fellows delivered short talks. With breakout sessions hosted by the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education and Ohio State’s Technology Commercialization Office, this year’s event also focused on how members of the IDI community can expand their network to include more industry partnerships. Thank you to everyone who participated in our 2nd Annual Meeting; we hope you continue to engage with us to work toward a world free from the threat of infectious diseases!

Be on the lookout for a post-event survey to make next year's meeting even better!
